Each quarter, Keep Allen Beautiful and the City of Allen provide a safe, environmentally friendly way for Allen residents to dispose of unwanted or obsolete computers and small electronics. Recycling these items instead of sending them to the landfill saves money, conserves valuable resources, and prevents pollution.
Bring your recyclable electronics to Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, beginning at 8 a.m. on August 7. Collection will end promptly at 1 p.m. OR when the trucks are full. Participants must show their driver's license and current water utility bill as proof of Allen residency. Accepted items include computers and computer peripherals, fax machines, answering machines, microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens, mixers, and other small electric kitchen appliances (without Freon). No televisions will be accepted at this event.
