Brick Wall Restoration on Shelley
Posted by rbutler on Monday, July 28 @ 6:14pm
As you may already be aware, the Association is having the brick wall along Shelley Dr. repaired. This work involves removal of the cracked/missing sections of mortar in the wall and replacement. Additionally, on sections of the wall where the lower portions have begun to crack and sag, a metal lentil is being installed for support. While this work is being performed, the alley on Elm Spring Ct. may be blocked from time to time, and there may be small amounts of debris (which will generally be cleaned up daily).
The contractor performing the work is Steve Morris with Advanced Restoration Technology, he has done previous work for the Association (such as removing the graffiti on the entrance monument at Shelley and Forest Stream). He may also have one or more additional people working with him.
If you have any questions, please call (972) 739-5221, or email to officers@maxwellcreek.org.

Posted by rbutler on Tuesday, February 26 @ 6:45pm
Sometime last night, graffiti was sprayed on the south entrance sign (the Parkside Villas neighborhood to our South was also affected with similar damage). A report has been filed with the Allen PD, and we hope to have the sign repaired in the next week.
Additionally, the sprinkler system on the North side of the neighborhood has been running for most of the day; the malfunction was reported to our landscape maintenance company, and the problem was fixed around 5pm.
Common Area Landscaping
Posted by rbutler on Monday, February 11 @ 5:06pm
There is a lot going on for landscaping in the Maxwell Creek community and we wanted to give you all a quick update.
As scheduled, pre-spring pruning of the Crape Myrtles has been completed, and they should look great this summer. We have also had tulip bulbs planted at the north and south neighborhood entrances.
You may be curious about the blue spots in the Common Areas, they are an indicator dye that is added to sprayed chemicals to show where the chemicals have been applied. With spring just around the corner, chemical herbicide applications have been made to kill both winter and seedling weeds. Left untreated they would multiply into troublesome spring and summer weeds. When the chemical has been applied to the turf it poses no harm to humans, animals, or the environment. A slow release granular pre-emergent has also been applied to further prevent and discourage weeds.
We are continuing our effort to achieve a beautiful lush weed free lawn for the community. Please let us know if there are any areas of concern, we are doing our best make the entire landscape as enjoyable as possible.
