Website Outtage
Posted by rbutler on Tuesday, July 22 @ 12:10pm
Due to a change at our ISP that took far longer (and caused more problems) than we anticipated, the website and email were down for most of yesterday.
If you sent any email to the Association that bounced back with an error, please resend.

Posted by rbutler on Saturday, May 24 @ 5:26pm
The website has been updated with a newer revision of software that adds a few new features (primarily for residence owners). However, please note that this is a beta version of the software and may contain bugs or other unexpected behavior.
If you notice a problem, please send an email to webmaster@maxwellcreek.org with the details.
Message Boards Active!
Posted by rbutler on Monday, April 25 @ 10:02pm
After way too much testing and rewriting and retesting (the message boards were originally working almost a year ago), we've gone ahead and opened up the server to allow people to create user accounts and post messages. There are bound to be some problems and errors with something, but we're just not sure what at this point. If you run into any problems, please send a message to webmaster@maxwellcreek.org and let us know.
Once we shake out all of the bugs, we'll gradually start enabling new features.
Web Site Reorganization
Posted by rbutler on Tuesday, March 22 @ 9:50am
We're in the process of reorganizing a few sections of the web site to make it easier to find information; basically, we're trying to become more task-oriented, rather than information-oriented.
There may be a few problems here and there that we've missed, but hopefully everything is working. Depending on how much time is available, everything should settle down in the next few weeks.

A new page has been added to the site search that shows a complete list of all documents available on the site.Searching of the Web Site Now Available
Posted by rbutler on Thursday, April 22 @ 1:10pm
Searching of the web site is now available. At this time, it allows searching of the articles and news items on the site, but not the soon-to-be-available message boards. A few examples are below:
- Show all articles containing the word "newsletters".
- Show all articles containing the word "pictures".
- Show all articles containing the word "proxy", but don't include articles that also have the word "election".
There are bound to be a few gliches since it hasn't been extensively tested yet. Please let us know if you run into any problems.

Browser Cleanup
Posted by rbutler on Monday, March 22 @ 12:59pm
Several parts of the web site were redesigned last weekend to clean up the display in IE and other browsers. A few areas are still broken slightly, but should be cleaned up over the next few weeks.
If the page still doesn't look correct in your browser, please let us know.
Web Site Changes
Posted by rbutler on Friday, March 19 @ 11:05am
Just a quick note that the a good portion of the core database code as well as the code behind all of the article IDs and news items was revised today. While everything appears is working correctly, it's possible that there are a few broken links here and there. Please let us know if you see anything.Site Migrated Successfully
Posted by rbutler on Sunday, February 29 @ 7:01am
Well, it looks as though the migration has gone smoothly so far. There are a few areas of the site that aren't active yet, such as the message boards, searching the site, and the directory. Right now, our focus is on getting ready for the annual meeting in April, so those three items probably won't be working until sometime after the meeting.
If you see any problems on the site, please let us know!
Web Site Moving!
Posted by rbutler on Friday, February 27 @ 3:08pm
It is extremely likely that we will be migrating the web site to a new provider this weekend. When that occurs, there may be some downtime both of the web site itself, as well as email to the officers of the HOA. We expect to have everything migrated and working by Monday.
Also, we forgot to mention that if you're using Internet Explorer for your browser, that most of the pages don't display correctly, due to bugs that Microsoft has known about for years, but refuses to fix. We've temporarily made a few changes that enable the pages to be viewed in IE, however we'd prefer not to write work-arounds if necessary.
We highly recommend that you try an alternate internet browser application that properly supports industry standards, as well as offer additional features, such as Mozilla, Firefox, or Opera.
