City Council Approves Stage 3 "Light" Restrictions

Last night, the Allen City Council approved a Stage 3 "Light" designation as part of the Drought Contingency Plan.

Changes to watering restrictions under the Stage 3 "Light" designation, include:

• Effective immediately - Washing or rinsing of vehicles and watercraft by hose will be permitted as long as a shut-off nozzle is used to stop the flow of water when not being used to rinse off the vehicle.
• Effective July 1 - Landscape watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems will be permitted twice a week per a designated schedule. The schedule will be mailed to all water customers on or before June 30.

On July 1st, the watering schedule for our area will become Thursdays and Sundays, from 4am-10am and from 6pm-12a.
