No Fireworks Permitted Within Allen City Limits

With the 4th of July fast approaching, the City of Allen released a reminder about fireworks being prohibited within the city limits. City Ordinance No. 256-2-79 prohibits fireworks including sparklers. A fine of up to $2,000 can be imposed for those in violation of the ordinance.

Collin County also released a notice about the restriction of certain types of aerial fireworks within county limits due to a burn ban that began June 24. The burn ban is effective for a period of 90 days or such time conditions change and the ban is either lifted or extended.
