HOA Board Candidates
The two current Board Members are running for reelection. We are seeking additional candidates to volunteer their time and run for office. If you are interested in running, please complete and return the Candidate Information Form available online on the HOA's web site at http://www.maxwellcreek.org/community/hoa/forms/general/candidate/
- Robert Butler, current HOA President
My wife, Stephanie, and I moved in to the neighborhood in September of 2001, and we have two young daughters, Avery and Ryan. I've been involved with the HOA since the very first meeting in 2002 when management of the Association was passed from the builders to the homeowners.
I've spent thousands of hours volunteering for the HOA so far — in general, if you've visited the HOA web site, read the newsletters, or been to a meeting, you've seen me in action.
My primary interest is doing what I can to continually improve the neighborhood, whether that includes landscape improvements to the Common Areas, enforcement of the architectural guidelines, or simply encouraging a community spirit by helping neighbors socialize and meet one another. Most importantly, I believe continuous, consistent communication between the HOA and homeowners is necessary to ensure that the HOA is truly acting with the will of the homeowners.
- Yesika Fletcher, current HOA Vice-President and Secretary
My name is Yesika (pronounced Jessica) Fletcher. I am a native Texan born and raised in Dallas. I married my husband Jamie Fletcher in 2000 and we built our first home here in Allen in The Villages at Maxwell Creek in 2002.
The Villages at Maxwell Creek was the first place we lived that had an HOA, and I was interested in participating, we attended a couple of open forum meetings. I left the meetings feeling as though they were complaint sessions instead of a community coming together to make our neighborhood a nice and friendly place to live. This experience sent me home thinking of ways that I could help and become involved. My thoughts were, instead of pointing out the negative why not provide a solution to the problem instead of just the problem. I wanted my voice and opinions to be heard, so I notified the board of my interest in volunteering.
I started by volunteering with neighborhood projects, months later in the summer of 2005 I became the volunteer coordinator to help motivate others to become involved in our community. Our Vice President resigned in the last quarter of 2005 and I was offered the Vice Presidency position on the board, I accepted and since then I have had a wonderful time planning social events and community projects.
