[ Up ] Howard Fisher's Resignation Letter

March 6, 2007

Rob Butler, President
Yesika Fletcher, Vice-President
Maxwell Creek HOA

Dear Rob and Yesika,

After two years of serving on the board, I've decided it's time to let someone else assume some of that responsibility. I will not be running for re-election.

Rob, you and Yesika (and Bill Butt and Stephanie Butler, with whom I've also been privileged to work) deserve high praise for your dedication and service, and it's my feeling that the membership as a whole is unaware of the time and commitment involved in running the Association, shepherding the Association's money wisely and prudently, and fielding the constant barrage of problems and complaints.

In my opinion, if the membership would help more and complain less, the day-to-day work would be much easier and more rewarding for all of us. But during the two years I've spent on the board, our pleas for volunteer help have availed nothing. We've had a lot of promises but no follow-through. None. People say they'll help, but when called upon, they're always too busy. Frankly, I've wearied of trying to make water run uphill. I fail to understand how people can expect positive results when they offer nothing but negative input.

I would consider serving on the board again in the future, if and when:

I'm grateful for the time we've been able to work together, and I have nothing but the highest regard and appreciation for the job you're doing and continue to do. I wish you well.

Sincerely,

Howard Fisher
Treasurer

I've also attached a copy of this letter as a .pdf file (I think) , which may be easier to read or copy.
