One-Time Opportunities
The engraved text on the stone neighborhood entrance signs on Bethany and Shelley has faded and needs to be painted again. Additionally, the sign itself may need to be powerwashed. We estimate that this will take one person between 1-2 hours per sign. The HOA will provide paint and a brush. The entrance sign on Bethany has been cleaned and painted, thank you Michael White! The entrance sign on Shelley has been painted, thank you Michel Joun!.
Recurring Needs
- Remove old and unwanted signs from telephone and street light poles.
- All of the Common Areas along Bethany, Malone, and Shelley have several areas with trash and construction debris (such as bottles and cans, broken bricks / cement, and old metal sign posts). We could use a number of volunteers to help collect this material.
- We need articles written for the HOA Newsletter and web site, which can be on almost any topic, whether it be local political issues, correspondence with City officials, or even old family recipes. We've also added a "Kid's Corner" section, and could use connect-the-dots drawings, puzzles, mazes, and so on.
- Help assemble and deliver the HOA newsletter once every 2 - 3 months. This currently takes 3 people about six hours, each additional person would reduce that by an hour or more. Assembly entails stapling, hole puching, and rubber banding, while delivery requires walking and placing the newsletter on the residents' door.
- Talk to local businesses and solicit advertising in the HOA newsletter and web site. Pricing and viewership information is available on the advertising page. All money received from advertising directly funds the HOA budget, and lowers everyone's annual dues.
