Social Committee Meeting Minutes (February 25th, 2004)

February 25th, 2004

The meeting was called to order at 1711 Elm Spring Ct. at 7pm.

Present

• Mandy Diercks - HOA Treasurer, Committee Chairperson

Items Discussed

• April 25th Block Party. Work to see what we can get donated and then use budget from there. All will email group with the names of the businesses that they talk to so that we don’t double dip them.
• All members can use: social@maxwellcreek.org for communication. We’re all on it so it’s a one-stop email address.
• The next meeting will be March 17th, 7p, at Mandy’s house: 1620 Woodhaven Ct.

Action Items

• Everyone - We still need people to talk to Target Corner (all stores at SW corner of McDermott / 75).
• Mandy - Create form letter asking for donations for everybody to give to the business.
• Mandy - Talk to Police Community Services to find out if they’ll come to the block party.
• Mandy - Find out about some kind of Identi-kid program.
• Mandy - Get Crime Watch contact from Rob Butler.
• Mandy - Find guys to run grills for hot dogs.
• Andrea - Has contacts at a candle and a jewelry business.
• Andrea - Will talk to Rob Butler about communication.
• Andrea - Research bounce houses nearer to Allen, possible deals.
• Domenica - Will solicit from: Two Rows, Block Busters, In Touch Day Spa, Kid to Kid, Pizza Hut, Subway, Bank One, Military Recruiters.
• Domenica - Send thank you cards for all donations.
• Lisa - Her neighbor works for Frito Lay, will ask them about chips.
• Lisa - Solicit donations from all businesses at NW corner of McDermott/75 (Stacey Furniture to Lowe’s).
• Pamela - Solicit Grocery Stores for food stuffs (dogs, buns, drinks).
• Pamela - Get email address for Janna Boss (new committee member).
