Social Committee Meeting Minutes (October 10th, 2003)

October 10th, 2003

The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm at 1607 Woodstream Ln.

• Stephanie Butler - HOA Vice-President and Secretary
• Mandy Diercks - HOA Treasurer
• Andrea Westmoreland
• Rob Butler

Items Discussed

• Finalization of plans for the Halloween kick-off party:
  • We decided to scale down the event, since we don't know how many people will be attending.
  • We need to rent a popcorn popper, and get supplies for it.
  • We need to get Halloween candy for about 50 children, and some type of bag to carry it in. Costco or Sams probably have the best prices, will need to check. We also need to get a "healthy" food (apples?) for children whose parents don't want them having candy.
  • Tape to block off the street to cars?
  • Need to get film for the Polaroid camera so we can give away pictures for residents.
  • Decided to get some type of prize for everyone in the costume contest. The contest will be broken into three different age ranges so there aren't children competing with adults. We also need to get a larger prize for the overall winners.

Action Items

• Kim - Get film for the camera and apples.
• Andrea - pick up the popcorn popper.
• Rob - Get gift certificates from Blockbuster for 1st place prizes.
• Rob - Do fyler to hand out to homeowners.
• Rob - Put information in the newsletter about the kick-off party.
• Rob - Return the popcorn popper next day after we're done.
• Stephanie - Get ribbons to hand out to everyone in the costume contests.
• Stephanie - Get candy and bags to hold it.
